Christmas crunch!!
I have been heard to say"I hate Christmas!" ouch- I know how bad it sounds, but I never seem to be able to get through all the crap to the 'enjoy the holidays" part! a years worth of paperwork to keep my son going to college is overwelming- I know your supposed to keep it up all year, but REALLY? I just plain hate it! so why put off till tomorrow what you can do next week!! I'm tackeling the website today, a little "out with the old and in with the new!" we'll see how that goes.. the above is the underpainting for my latest-- having trouble covering some deep scratches in the pastel board- wondering will they be covered??? not sure..

Aftermath of Elko
My first year at Elko National Cowboy Poetry Gathering went great. big new space, great people, cant wait to go back. Valentines Day Party at Openshaw Saddlery went really well, so many nice people, such a great place. I need some ideas for some more good shows with this kind of warm atmospere and people who want nice handmade things- still waiting for my collector to find me!!!! :))

Thanks and giving
we went to spend Thanksgiving with Garys mother Juanita-who is in her 80's at a local retirement home.. omg what a miserable meal--- Bonaventure in Reno - the food was absolutely terrible, it made me very sad. My 15 year-old son Cody came and was a perfect gentlemen and we had a good time just being with her. Now at home we are making our dinner for tomorrow- i love to cook, everything is from scratch , turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, salad, homeade bluberry pie and codys making banana creme pie, also homeade ice cream. YUM! I SO wish i would have known, i would have made the dinner on thursday at home and taken her a nice meal.
next project is to make as much stuff as possible for the Western Christmas show at Openshaws Saddlery in Fallon.Dec. 2 and 3rd- necklaces of kingman turquoise, rhodochrosite, golden quartz, multi color/stone/crystals~ gobs of lusciousness. also 3 new purses painted to take- looking forward to this Happy Thanks giving to all.
