Thanks and giving

we went to spend Thanksgiving with Garys mother Juanita-who is in her 80's at a local retirement home.. omg what a miserable meal--- Bonaventure  in Reno - the food was absolutely terrible, it made me very sad. My 15 year-old son Cody came and was a perfect gentlemen and we had a good time just being with her. Now at home we are making our dinner for tomorrow- i love to cook, everything is from scratch , turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, salad, homeade bluberry pie and codys making banana creme pie, also homeade ice cream. YUM!  I SO wish i would have known, i would have made the dinner on thursday at home and taken her a nice meal.

next project is to make as much stuff as possible for the Western Christmas show at Openshaws Saddlery in Fallon.Dec. 2 and 3rd- necklaces of kingman turquoise, rhodochrosite,golden quartz, multi color/stone/crystals~ gobs of lusciousness. also 3 new purses painted to take- looking forward to this Happy Thanks giving to all.

yayy!!! going to pick up my big sis Sandy form the airport today!! a trip to Minden with her in few days to pick up my latest two pastels from the printer ought to be a lot of fun. we can go thru Genoa and act like tourists!!

Last night i went to a seminar for Hypnotherapy -- very exciting. i plan to get certified practice clinical hypnotherapy. more creative, productive,outgoing!! ART,ART ,ART , my ad came out in Southwest Art August issue and looks fantastic!! Today is mt loving husbands birthday!! im now on my way to get blueberries for the best blueberry pie in the world-- HAppy Birthday Gary!!I love you dearly!!

Beautiful rainy Day

Today I finally get back to my studio to clean up after working toward my last show- The 2nd Annual Genoa Cowboy Poetry Gathering was a huge personal success. the tickets sales were down 40% and i still doubled my sales-- I dont know why more people didnt come out, it was beautiful weather and the folks running the event did a wonderful job. We had a great time in the Tieg building art gallery, really building the comraderie. I sold 4 purses and quite a few necklaces, still waiting for a serious collector to "Discover" my fine art. riding, Yoga, pastels, the agenda for the week-, oh i guess i better start rebuilding stock in my purses and jewelry as well. Enjoy life folks!

Monday- just one week till set-up at 2nd Annual Cowboy Poetry,Music and Art Festival!!

We just got 5 more babies in to start, keeping honey Gary Long busy, busy , while I get ready for my next show-- Genoa Cowboy Gathering -- cant wait, got lots of new jewelry, new hand painted purses, new drawings, pastels, prints and more Yipee Kayo Kayay!!!!!let the wind howl all it wants!

no school yeterday, leaves today feeling like Monday- with my wedding jewelry order complete and successful, I've begun creating for fun again. long necklaces with bone horses and butterflies- loving it! and working on a pencil drawing- geez, that takes so long it gets boring. gotta change it up with beading and a pastel. Codys doing good in baseball and that is such a pleasure to watch, very relaxing-
I think i'm getting a little write-up in the rgj- that will be very cool. now, if my knee would just stop hurting, so i can go back to riding, everything will be in order in my universe!

Friday Feb.25th- first day of my blog

ok, after a year or more of struggling with the logistics of building a website, i finally have conquered the basics. i can actually upload my stuff and write the descriptions and add the buy buttons!!! It's really not that bad once i got the hang of it. of course i'd much rather be in my studio making jewelry, but then i'd have to decide whether to finish the pastel im working on or the drawing or start on a wholesale order for a wedding- YES! a wholesale order, to make 15 pieces for a wedding, is that great or what! if you gotta have problems----- much better than going to work at wal-mart!  i need to work on the front page and whole lot more , but u can see a updates to the jewelry page atwww.Stephanie Rose Long.com
